Privacy
Your data, simply.
This site is a portfolio: it has no advertising, no trackers and no tracking cookies. It only counts, anonymously, the country each visit comes from. Only the YouTube player, loaded only if you start a video, is subject to Google’s rules. Here is exactly what is collected, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible?
KOUAHO Ettien Jean-Michel, known as “Jimi” (THE ROCKET), Cocody, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, reachable through the Contact page or at the address shown at the bottom of every page.
The contact form
When you send a request, I receive your name, your email, your WhatsApp number if you give it, the project type, the budget and your message.
This information is only used to reply to you. It is kept for 12 months at most, then deleted automatically.
Abuse protection
To block automated submissions, your IP address and email address are also turned into fingerprints (strings that do not directly reveal them). They are only used to count submissions, are erased within 48 hours and are never stored as is for this count.
Sign-in attempts to the admin area (reserved for the site owner) are limited in the same way: the IP address of the device trying to sign in is then kept for 48 hours at most.
Password attempts on confidential projects are limited the same way: the fingerprint of the IP address is erased within 48 hours.
Shop purchases
When you buy a product from the Shop (or request a free one), your first name, last name, email, country and phone number are passed to Chariow (the sales platform that takes the payment), together with, where available, your IP address, so that the payment methods of your country can be offered.
The site keeps neither your contact details nor your payment details: the payment page, shown in a window on the site or on Chariow’s website, belongs to Chariow. It only keeps a record of the order without your contact details (Chariow sale number — which lets Chariow identify you —, product, language, dates, number of downloads), for as long as your access lasts (one year) plus 30 days; an order that is never paid is deleted after 7 days.
Once the payment is confirmed, your email is read from Chariow only to send you your order link (through Resend), without being stored. This personal link gives access to your files: like any visited address, it appears in the host’s technical logs. To limit abuse, your IP address and email are only turned into fingerprints, deleted after 48 hours at most.
Visit statistics
To know which countries visits come from, the site counts each visit (an open tab) with its country only. Your IP address is used, on the site’s server, to find that country, then immediately replaced by a temporary fingerprint (a string of characters from which it cannot be recovered).
This fingerprint is kept only in the server’s memory, for an hour and a half at most. It is never stored or sent to anyone, and is used only to limit the number of visits counted for the same Internet connection. Only the number of visits per country and per day is kept, with no time limit: it cannot identify anyone.
No cookie is used for this. A simple “visit already counted” mark is stored in the tab’s memory (sessionStorage). It is erased when the tab is closed and is never sent to the site.
If your browser asks not to be tracked (“Global Privacy Control” or “Do Not Track” setting), your visit is not counted.
The country is determined using IP Geolocation by DB-IP (db-ip.com), licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0.
Cookies
The site itself uses no tracking or advertising cookies. A cookie may remember the language you chose (French or English). A session cookie also exists, but only for the site administrator, after signing in. If you start a video, the YouTube player (Google) may store cookies or similar data in your browser: see “Technical providers”. For the anonymous visit count, a mark is stored in the tab’s memory, without any cookie (see “Visit statistics”). If you open a confidential project with its password, two cookies remember this access for 7 days (no personal data). If you pay for a purchase, Chariow’s payment page may store its own cookies, under its own rules.
Technical providers
The site relies on a hosting provider (named in the legal notice), Neon (database, in Europe), Cloudflare R2 (image storage, in Europe) and Resend (email notifications, in the United States).
Videos are hosted on YouTube and purchases are made on Chariow: on those services, their own privacy rules apply. The YouTube player only loads when you click a video: nothing is sent to YouTube before that click. It then uses YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com, Google, United States), which receives your IP address, this site’s address and information about your browser, may store information in your browser and may contact other Google services.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, through the Contact page or at the address shown at the bottom of the page.
You can also contact the data protection authority of your country (in Côte d’Ivoire: ARTCI).
